Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
