Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
