Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 watching over you 11 They know all that you do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
