Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 noble, recording, 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
