Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
