The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Woe to the stinters; 1 Those who, when they take by measure from mankind, exact the full, 2 But if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss. 3 Do they not think that they will be called to account?- 4 [and called to account] on an awesome Day 5 the Day when all men shall stand before the Sustainer of all the worlds? 6 No! Indeed, the record of the wicked is in sijjeen. 7 And what will make you know what the Sijjin is? 8 A Register inscribed. 9 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 10 Those who deny the Day of Judgment 11 None belies it except every guilty sinner. 12 When our signs are recited to him, he says, 'Fairy-tales of the ancients!' 13 Nay, but their hearts are corroded by all [the evil] that they were wont to do! 14 No indeed; but upon that day they shall be veiled from their Lord, 15 Then indeed, they will [enter and] burn in Hellfire. 16 and it will be said to them: 'This is that which you belied' 17 Nay! Most surely the record of the righteous shall be in the Iliyin. 18 And what will explain to thee what 'Illiyun is? 19 (There is) a Register (fully) inscribed, 20 which the angels placed near Allah to safeguard. 21 Lo! the righteous verily are in delight, 22 On couches, gazing, 23 You will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure. 24 They will be given to drink [pure] wine [which was] sealed. 25 which have the fragrance of musk. This is the kind of place for which one should really aspire. 26 It (that wine) will be mixed with Tasnim. 27 a fountain at which do drink those brought nigh. 28 Indeed the guilty used to laugh at the believers. 29 And when they passed by them, they winked at one another. 30 and whenever they return to people of their own kind, they return full of jests; 31 And when they saw them they said: Lo! these have gone astray. 32 But they had not been sent as keepers over them! 33 This day it is those who believe who have the laugh of disbelievers, 34 On (high) thrones, looking (at all things). 35 The infidels have indeed been rewarded for that which they had been doing. 36
