The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 by the promised day, 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 When they sat by it, 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
