The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness the sky (bespangled) with the signs of the Zodiac, 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 by a burning fire 5 when they were seated around it 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 Whose kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth. God is witness over everything. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - 17 Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamud? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 In a guarded tablet. 22
