The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 when they were seated over it 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
