The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 by the promised day, 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 When they were sitting near it 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 In a guarded tablet. 22
