The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 As they sat around it 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 Who, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial 19 And Allah encompasses them from behind! (i.e. all their deeds are within His Knowledge, and He will requite them for their deeds). 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
