The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 when they were seated over it 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 (Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet)! 22
