The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 And by the Day promised, 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 when they were seated around it 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
