The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 Lo! [With glee do] they contemplate that [fire,] 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 And He is the Fogiving, the Loving, 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
