The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 Verily, they are but plotting a plot (against you O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)). 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
