The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 Do you know what al-tariq is? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 There is no soul which is not guarded (by the two angels who record all of its deeds). 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad) 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 Therefore give them some respite – give them some time. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
