Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the heaven and the comer by night; 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 The piercing star! 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 upon the day when the secrets are tried, 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 By the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 not a flippant jest. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
