The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 On the Day when man's deepest secrets shall be put to the test 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 not a flippant jest. 14 They are devising guile, 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
