The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of the heaven, and by oath of the nightly arriver. 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 It is the piercing star - 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
