The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By heaven and the night-star! 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 It is the piercing star. 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 upon the day when the secrets are tried, 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 but I too plan against them. 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
