The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 Indeed successful is the one who became pure. 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
