The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 [O Prophet!] We shall make you recite the Quran so that you will not forget any of it -- 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
