The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
