The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 who created and shaped, 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 [O Prophet!] We shall make you recite the Quran so that you will not forget any of it -- 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 And the most wicked will stay away from it. 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
