The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 who created and shaped, 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 [O Prophet!] We shall make you recite the Quran so that you will not forget any of it -- 6 Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 In which they will then neither die nor live. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 But ye prefer the life of the world 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
