Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Magnify the Name of thy Lord the Most High 1 who has created and shaped, 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 Then reduces them to rusty rubbish. 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 We shall make all your tasks easy. 8 Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them). 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
