The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Magnify the Name of thy Lord the Most High 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 And who brings out the pasture 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 But it will be avoided by the wretched, 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
