Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 Then reduces them to rusty rubbish. 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 He will be cast into the Great Fire. 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
