The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who created all things and gave them due proportions, 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 He will be cast into the Great Fire. 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
