Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 Faces on that Day shall be downcast, 2 be toiling and worn-out; 3 They shall roast into the scalding Fire, 4 They will be given to drink from a boiling spring, 5 No food shall be theirs save bitter thorn, 6 that will neither nourish nor satisfy their hunger. 7 (Other) faces, that Day, will be joyful, 8 well-pleased with [the fruit of] their striving, 9 in a garden sublime, 10 Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood, 11 Countless springs will flow therein, 12 Therein will be Thrones (of dignity), raised on high, 13 well arranged goblets, 14 And cushions set in rows, 15 And carpets spread around. 16 Do they not look at the Camels, how they are made?- 17 And the heaven how it has been raised? 18 And at the mountains - how they are erected? 19 and on the earth, how it is spread out? 20 So remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder. 21 you are not their keeper. 22 But whoever will turn away (from the Truth), 23 So Allah will mete out to him the greatest punishment. 24 Truly, to Us is their return; 25 And Ours their reckoning. 26
God the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
