Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Have you heard about the Overwhelming Event? 1 Many faces will be contrite on that day, 2 Laboring, toiling, 3 they shall enter a burning Fire 4 that is fueled from a tremendously hot fountain, 5 No food will there be for them but a poisonous thorny plant, 6 which neither sustains, nor satisfy hunger. 7 Some faces on that Day will be radiant, 8 Well-pleased with their endeavour, 9 They will be in a lofty Garden 10 wherein they shall hear no vain talk. 11 In it there shall be a flowing spring, 12 therein uplifted couches 13 And goblets ready placed! 14 And cushions ranged 15 and outspread carpets. 16 Will they not then consider the camels, how they are created? 17 And how the heaven was raised up, 18 And the hills, how they are set up? 19 And the earth, how it is spread? 20 Admonish thou then; thou art but an admonisher. 21 You are not charged to oversee them. 22 Other than him who turns his back and denies, 23 will be punished by God with the greatest punishment. 24 Indeed, to Us is their return. 25 Then it will be for Us to call them to account. 26
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
