Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
HAS THERE COME unto thee the tiding of the Overshadowing Event? 1 On that Day, there shall be downcast faces, 2 Working [hard] and exhausted. 3 roasting at a scorching fire, 4 their drink shall be from a boiling spring. 5 They shall have no food except bitter dry thorns 6 Neither nourishing nor banishing hunger. 7 Many a face will be in serenity on that day. 8 With their endeavour well pleased. 9 In a high Garden 10 wherein they will not hear any vain talk. 11 therein a running fountain, 12 [and] there will be thrones [of happiness] raised high, 13 And goblets ready placed! 14 and cushions ranged, 15 and carpets spread out. 16 Do they not then ponder how the clouds were formed; 17 And at the heaven, how it is raised? 18 how the mountains are set firm, 19 And the earth, how it is made a vast expanse? 20 Therefore remind, you are only a Reminder. 21 You are not a watcher over them; 22 But whosoever will turn back and disbelieve 23 him will God cause to suffer the greatest suffering [in the life to come]: 24 Indeed only towards Us is their return 25 and then it is for Us to call them to account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
