11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the morning brightness 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find you an orphan, so provided you shelter? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
