The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the glorious morning light; 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11
