The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the white forenoon 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11
