The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the morning brightness, 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Wherefore as to the orphan, be thou not unto him overbearing. 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
