Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the morning hours 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 Your Lord (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 Therefore, the orphan shalt thou never wrong, 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
