Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

By the morning brightness 1 And by the night when it is stillest, 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 And as to the favour of thine Lord, discourse thou thereof. 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
