The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the morning brightness, 1 And by the night when it is stillest, 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 nor drive away the one who asks. 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
