Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ (O Prophet), Did We not lay open your breast 1 And We have taken off from thee thy burthen, 2 that weighed down your back? 3 And exalted thy fame? 4 So verily, with the hardship, there is relief, 5 Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). 6 Then when thou becometh relieved, toil; 7 And strive to please thy Lord. 8
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
