The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
READ IN THE name of your Lord who created, 1 Created man from a clinging substance. 2 Read! Your Lord is the Most Bountiful One 3 who, by the pen, taught the human being: 4 The One Who taught man all what he did not know. 5 Yes indeed, man is surely rebellious. 6 because he thinks that he is independent. 7 However, (all things) will return to your Lord. 8 What thinkest thou? He who forbids 9 A servant when he prays? 10 What thinkest thou? If he were upon guidance 11 Or enjoined guarding (against evil)? 12 Do you see how he has denied the truth and turned away from it? 13 Does he not realize that God sees him? 14 Nay! if he desist not, We would certainly smite his forehead, 15 A forelock, lying, sinning. 16 Then let him call his associates; 17 We shall call the guards of Hell. 18 Nay! (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him))! Do not obey him (Abu Jahl). Fall prostrate and draw near to Allah! ۩ 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
