Proof (Al-Bayyinah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
The unbelievers among the People of the Book and the idolaters would never desist until the Clear Proof came to them. 1 (The clear proof is) the Noble Messenger from Allah, who reads the pure pages. 2 Wherein are discourses eternal. 3 Nor did those to whom the Book had been given split up until after the Proof (of the Right Way) had come to them. 4 And withal, they were not enjoined aught but that they should worship God, sincere in their faith in Him alone, turning away from all that is false; and that they should be constant in prayer; and that they should spend in charity: for this is a moral law endowed with ever-true soundness and clarity. 5 Those who disbelieved – be they from among the People of the Book or among those who associated others with Allah in His Divinity– shall be in the Fire, and will abide in it. They are the worst of creatures. 6 Those who have faith and do righteous deeds,- they are the best of creatures. 7 Their reward with their Lord is gardens of perpetuity beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein for ever; Allah is well pleased with them and they are well pleased with Him; that is for him who fears his Lord. 8
