Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the snorting runners (the horses), 1 and produce sparks 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 He himself bears witness to that. 7 And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
