Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By (the horses) that charge snorting, 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 Then those charging in the morning 3 and raising clouds of dust, 4 forcing their way into the midst of the enemy, 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 And that which is in the breasts (of men) shall be made known. 10 that on that Day their Sustainer [will show that He] has always been fully aware of them? 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
