Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 and produce sparks 2 Then those charging in the morning 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- 5 VERILY, towards his Sustainer man is most ungrateful 6 and to this, behold, he [himself] bears witness indeed: 7 Surely, he is ardent in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 Surely on that Day will their Lord be fully informed about them. 11
