Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the (Steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire. 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn 3 So thereupon raising dust. 4 forcing their way into the midst of the enemy, 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 And the hearts' contents shall be brought into the open? 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
