Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 until you visit the graves. 2 You shall know. 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!) 5 For ye will behold hell-fire. 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
