Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Abundance diverts you, 1 even till you visit the tombs. 2 But you will come to know soon; -- 3 And once again: Nay, in time you will come to understand! 4 Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have occupied yourselves in worldly things) 5 Ye shall certainly see Hell-Fire! 6 And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 then you shall be questioned that day concerning true bliss. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
