The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 (It is) the kindled Fire of Allah, 6 Reaching right into the hearts of men, 7 It will engulf them. 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
