The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 Who amasseth wealth; and counteth it. 2 He bethinketh that his wealth shall abide for him. 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the Crushing Fire. 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 Fire of Allah, Kindled, 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 in its long columns of flames. 9
